Nursery News ~ 5th July 2019

What a smashing sunny time we have had in Nursery this week, a super end to our time together.  Those cold winter days seem a lifetime ago now!

We have been enjoying our Nursery Rhyme this week of Baa Baa Black Sheep - a real favourite with all of us.  Our Write Dance song of "Horsey Horsey" has had us galloping on our horses - thank you to Charlotte for showing us how we hold on to the reins correctly.  Our story this week has been "What the Ladybird Heard" and has had us talking about settings, playing Spot the Difference on the farm and using our Phonics skills of spotting and showing what Mrs Mander could see using only the letter sounds for a clue.  We have had fun outdoors in the sunshine creating our own shows, making a car wash with the crates and we bid a farewell to our very own pet butterflies yesterday afternoon.  What an experience to watch this lifecycle happen in front of our eyes in such a short space of time.  Thank you Mrs Allen for starting off these caterpillars on their journey - we are sad you missed the final stages!

Enjoy your weekend and we have everything crossed for a return of a healthy Mrs Allen next week.

Mrs Mander :-)
