The Circus

Hello Red Class,
Our project on Roald Dahl has finished. You all worked really hard to make some fantastic books about 'The Twits'. I am so proud of you all and the super writing that you have done.
Our next topic is about 'The Circus' and will last for 2 weeks. During this topic we will not be working towards a project. The children will be learning about circuses, reading poems and writing their own. They will also be looking at 2D and 3D shapes and their properties in maths alongside counting in 1,2 and 10.

Best wishes,

Helen Stafford and Val Rudd

Roald Dahl

Hello Red Class,
Thank you to all of you for the support you gave your children last term.
We had a good time at the theatre, watching the BFG, even though it was a bit scary in places.
This term our project is about Roald Dahl. In Red Class we will be looking at 'The Twits'.
Our project this term will to be to produce our own book of 'The Twits'. We will be reading the story, then learning it by retelling a simplified version. When the children are able to retell the story well they will use a story map to help them write the story and do their own illustrations.
Forest School will be starting this Thursday 12th January. As a  present from Father Christmas the children have all got a hat, glove and scarf  to wear at Forest School, but it would help if they had their own ...

Last day of term

Well done all of Red Class for your super performances of 'The Nativity'. You should be very proud of yourselves. We also had a great party and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pantomime.
Tomorrow is our last day so the children can bring in a toy from home to play with.
Have a super Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. Thank you for all the support you have given your children during their first term in school. We will see you all again in the New Year.
Best wishes,

Helen Stafford and Val Rudd
